Hi, I’m Ashley Bowen.
I started baking sourdough for fun after my teenage son brought me a starter from his aunt in Tennessee. I didn’t know much about bread at the time — I just remember getting way too excited when my levain started overflowing and realizing I was hooked.
What began as a hobby quickly turned into regular bake days as friends, neighbors, gym members, and church friends kept asking for more. I bake small batches often, rotate flavors regularly, and love that every loaf turns out a little different.
My bread is naturally leavened, made without preservatives, and baked to fit real life — not rigid schedules. I believe good bread should feel comforting, shared, and a little special, even on an ordinary day.
